Fundraising Committee The Causeway Foundation engages in event-based fundraising as a means to generate revenue and to raise awareness of Causeway in the community. All fundraising events are managed and executed primarily by volunteers, and all funds raised go directly to support the programs and services offered by the Causeway Work Centre. The Fundraising Committee meets monthly and is composed of 12 individuals with varying backgrounds. A
comprehensive fundraising plan for Causeway was developed
with the help of a consultant, and the Fundraising Committee
began its work in 2003. Its mandate is to develop a calendar
of events to raise funds in support of Causeway Work Centre
projects and programs, to raise the profile of Causeway and
to reduce the stigma of mental illness through the committee’s
activities.
