Ottawa Race Weekend 2008
Support Causeway Foundation
Are you interested in running/walking for a great cause? Join
the Causeway Foundation at the Ottawa Race Weekend on May 24-25,
2008. Raise pledges for Causeway Work Centre’s runners,
and help support people with mental health problems and other
disabilities every step of the way!
  
We Need Your Help:
Through your participation in this event you can help raise
money for the programs and services at Causeway Work Centre.
The Work Centre is a community-based mental health agency that
offers a range of employment and educational programs and
other supports to persons with mental health problems, other
disabilities, and those who are homeless. The Causeway Work Centre
provides the supports necessary to help these individuals live
independent, dignified lives in the community.
It’s easy to get involved:
- Simply choose a race that suits you.
- Register online at www.ncm.ca to participate in the
race.
- Email info@causewayfoundation.org and
let us know you’re
interested so we can keep you up to date on our pre-event activities.
You can download a pledge form below.
- Collect pledges from your friends, family, and co-workers
on Causeway’s behalf. (Cheques made payable to ‘Causeway
Foundation’). And, when you raise $100 in pledges you’ll
receive a Causeway branded water bottle.
- Submit pledge
money to Causeway Foundation on or before Thursday, May 22nd,
2008.
- Join us at Causeway on Thursday, May 22nd,
2008 for a Pre-Race rally from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Door
prizes! Bring your pledge forms and pledges.
- Come out on race day and do your very best!

Can’t make this year’s event? Do you know someone
who might run/walk on Causeway’s behalf? Please pass this
on to the walkers and runners you know! Your local mental health
community needs your support.

You’re invited to attend the pre-race
Pep Rally and 2008 Foundation Awards event at Causeway on May
22nd from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Door prizes and a special speaker are scheduled, outstanding
volunteers will be honoured, and the 2008 Denstedt-Wiliamson
client award will be announced.
